Accessibility Declaration

We are committed to providing a website experience for all users of varying abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnification software, and alternative input devices using a keyboard to navigate the web.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as our main principle in determining accessibility. These are internationally agreed standards that cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices to facilitate content use. When adding new pages and functionalities to our website, all designs, code, and content practices are reviewed against these standards.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continuously test content and features for compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and address any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. Our website testing is conducted by our team using standard industry tools, including WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool).

Accessibility Features on Our Website

Below is a list of some elements we have included on our website to improve its accessibility:

  • We use only relative units in our typography and set the base font size to 62.5%. This ensures that all typography on our website is accessible by default (while automatically responsive across all device sizes).
  • We include tab focus styles so that users navigating the site with a keyboard know where they are on the website.
  • We provide a skip link that allows keyboard users to jump directly to the main content of the website, so they do not have to navigate through every navigation menu item on each page.
  • We disable jQuery smooth scrolling for hash links and replace it with CSS-based smooth scrolling for hash links (jQuery disrupts the keyboard navigation order).
  • Not everyone enjoys flashy animations or transitions, and some users experience motion sickness when using parallax scrolling, zoom features, and similar effects. Therefore, we provide a reduced-motion version of our site for users who have set their browser preferences to 'reduce' in 'prefers-reduced-motion'. Learn more about animation preference settings
  • We add alternative texts to images if required (they are not purely decorative).
  • We add ARIA labels to elements on the site, including form fields, textless links, and other elements whose purpose is not clear when using screen readers and other assistive tools.
  • We ensure adequate text contrast at a level of 4.5:1.
  • Semantic markup is appropriately used to designate headings, regions/landmarks, lists, emphasized or special text, etc.
  • Tables are used for tabular data, and data cells are linked to their headers. Data table captions, if present, are associated with the data tables.
  • Text labels are linked to form fields. Related form controls are grouped using fieldset/legend. ARIA markup may be used when standard HTML is insufficient.

This is part of our broader effort to make the experience of everyone in the Natulin.eco domain pleasant and welcoming. Please note that while we strive to ensure information accessibility for all users, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites we may link to.
